Classy Chassis™ Concours d’Elegance
HOUSTON (June 13, 2010) – 7th annual Classy Chassis™ Concours d’ Elegance. The car show at the spectacular Reliant Stadium, in Houston, had more than 120 rare, beautiful and historical cars from all across the country. Some of the cars parked on the stadium floor included a 1934 Triumph Dolomite, 1948 Talbot Lago T-26C, 1948 Delahaye 175S Chapron, 1946 Delage D6 Grand Prix, 1949 Kurtis Sport Roadster, 1957 Maserati 450S, 1964 Shelby Cobra, a 1966 Chaparral 2E, Bugatti Veyron 16.4, Mercedes Benz SLS AMG, Mercedes Benz McLaren SLR, Mercedes Benz SL65 Black and Ferrari F40.
The show benefits the Shriners Hospitals for Children – Houston/Galveston.
Perhaps just as good of a show was put on outside, on the single lap autoX course set up in the parking lot. For a minimum of a $30 donation you could go for a ride around the course in one of a number of different cars including a Ferrari 355, Ferrari 360, Lamborghini Gallardo spyder, Porsche 996 GT3, Ford GT, Mercedes Benz c63, Lotus Elise, SLR McLaren, Shelby Cobra (replica), several Dodge Vipers and more.
